Some great aerials here, Bear...hope you won't mind a few tips from a pro...I've been doing aerials for 25 years. You've already discovered that you need to use a faster shutter speed: I try to use 1/500 at a minimum, and prefer 1/2000. That way, even if I use a long lens, I'll get almost zero movement. To compensate, use a wide aperture: f/5.6 or even f/4 is fine. From the air, there is no depth of field to worry about - you're focused at infinity for everything (and if you're not, you're TOO DAMN CLOSE!). And shoot at the highest ISO you can without introducing noise to the image. Also, I usually set my aperture 1/2 stop down from normal shooting, but judge that by the histogram from your test shots. Finally, I usually use the shutter-preferred setting, allowing the camera to adjust the aperture as your camera position (sun angle) and light (clouds) may change. For this shoot, I'd have set my controls at: f/5.6, 1/1600 sec, ISO 200...same exposure (or more correctly, equivalent exposure) but zero movement images.
